The first day of spring has passed and I feel like it's a little bit late to make a item with winter motif.

We used the flannel kimono for the handbag. The finished item is timelessly beautiful. You can't even imagine that the kimono is about 60 years old.

We made two handbags from very unique Shima Oshima Kimono. The original kimono we used is so called "Nibu Shiki Dōchūgi" (two piece rain suit) from around 1965.

The Kimono being used for the handbag were Doro Oshima (brown mud dyeing Kimono) and Shiro Oshima (white mud dyeing Kimono) which we recently created some items.This bag is absolutely the beauty of upcyling. It realizes what upcyling supposed to be.

It looks like just a simple handbag by judging from the picture. But the vintage black Haori Coat and White Natsu Fukuro Obi are combined and it creates see-through effect.
