Today's new item - Snowflake handbag
The first day of spring has passed and I feel like it's a little bit late to make a item with winter motif.

We got still some bamboo handles left at the atelier and we've been thinking what the next item should be...
We almost used all textile of this Obi from Showa era (around 1960). We've made one handbag and Sukiyabukuro before, and both are sold out immediately after we released them in the shop. (Thank you!)
The Fukuro Obi or Nagoya Obi are generally 30 cm width. "Kobukuro Obi" which we used for this bag has a half width of typical Obi's width. The Obi is made in Kyushu island in Japan and this kind of "half sized" Obi was very popular in Showa period (around 1960).
We used the flannel kimono for the handbag. The finished item is timelessly beautiful. You can't even imagine that the kimono is about 60 years old.
