Today we made two handbags from Ojiya Chijimi Kimono. Ojiya Chijimi is made of ramie in Niigara region in Japan.

Since we've made some bags from Meisen Silk, we've been thinking of making some new items again.

We made two tote bags with side pocket and bottom gusset. The same patten is used for both tote bags and the only difference is the size and textile of the bags.

Once we got an idea how to reform the vintage textile we try to make some prototype and check if it will fulfill our expectation...
