Will this year bring big changes? To start with, I went on a Goshuin trip in search of new inspirations and ideas for the New Year. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, even though the spring is coming closer, but after visiting various power spots, I feel that my luck has somehow improved like a rising dragon!
Now, we have made several new products this year, and we would like to show you some of our recent favourites.
-01- Handbags with different materials
The single "Tsumugi" silk and the plain part of the "Ebaori" fabric has been upcycled into a handbag. The whole piece has black for a sense of unity; it is large enough to carry an A4 size, making it very easy to use.
Also, toggle buttons were used on the back opening for a casual look.
The pouch can also be used as a sub-bag for small items.
-02- Silk laced bag
The bag is a drawstring bag upcycled with a layer of silk lace over the plain black part of the "Ebaori" woven fabric. The round bottom makes it cute.
The silk lace is used in plenty to give you a feeling of elegance. The lace pattern gives it a unique sense of depth, so even if it is all black, the impression is not too dark. This bag is simple yet glamorous.
There are many Kimonos in the workshop, but they all have their own characteristics in terms of fabric width, length, material, colour, etc. We work on upcycling while looking for combinations that go well together and developing an image of the finished work.
It is a pleasant surprise when a good combination unexpectedly turns out. We will continue to work hard this year, striving for a high degree of perfection in our daily work.
More to come this year!
