We have created several zipper wallets that have been well received. We would like to introduce a few of them all at once, in different colors and materials.
We create our products in response to customer feedback about the feel, materials, design, weight, and ease of use, as well as to requests for products that cannot be found on the market, to the best of our ability. The most encouragement for us as creators is when each customer who picks up one of our works is happy with it.
As you can see in the picture, we have worked on various materials such as obi, komon, crepe, kinsha crepe, shiozawa tsumugi, oshima tsumugi, and soshibori, but we prepare the lining with the greatest care to reinforce the kimono fabric, considering durability and other factors. We spend hours more than the actual sewing time, carefully checking the fit between the outer kimono fabric and the adhesive lining, and using more than ten different types of adhesive linings.
We hope to create new value by upcycling these kimonos, which have been carefully handled and waiting their turn in the chests, and by using them in a different form for everyone.
We will be happy if we can convey something to the distant future while thinking about the ten, twenty, or even a hundred years that each kimono has lived in the distant past.
